Dr. Roger F. Teal is the president of DemandTrans Solutions, an organization he and several colleagues founded in 1994. He has more than 40 years of professional experience spanning research, academia, and consulting in the areas of transportation systems and information technology. He is a former tenured faculty member at the University of California, Irvine in the Department of Civil Engineering with a teaching and research focus on transportation systems. At UCI, he conducted research on demand responsive transportation, private sector provision of public transportation services, carpooling, and taxicab regulation/deregulation. He has more than 45 publications and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from MIT, an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Tufts University.
